Although the title of this blog is “5th Grade Blog” we are going to be using it temporarily (vocabulary word, 5th graders!) for 4th and 5th grade.
In the next week or so, all 4 teachers will have access to this website and, when comfortable, will begin posting homework nightly.
A note about homework: The student is always responsible for writing down his or her homework in the agenda at school. The purpose of this blog is for parents to be able to check up on nightly homework and for students to have a backup plan. The blog is also a good place to begin catching up if a student has missed a day of school. If a homework assignment was given in class, but did not make it to the blog, this does not mean that the homework has been canceled! Sometimes the day gets busy and a teacher is unable to post, sometimes we forget (we are human!), and sometimes there are technological issues. Remind your child of the responsibility he or she has to write down homework at school.
